Highland League round-up: Buckie Thistle see off Turriff United and Fraserburgh smash Inverurie Locos for seven

Buckie Thistle made it two wins out of two with victory over Turriff United - while champions Brechin City slipped up.

Jags bounced back from their 4-0 SPFL Trust Trophy loss at Dundee B by inflicting the same scoreline on Turriff.

Kyle MacLeod netted twice and Andy MacAskill and Sam Pugh were also on target.

Brechin threw away a 2-0 lead at Huntly as they had to settle for a point.

Goals by a trialist and Hamish Thomson seemingly has the visitors in control at Christie Park.

But Michael Dangana pulled one back and Brodie Allen's second of the season from the spot on 77 minutes earned a 2-2 draw for Huntly.

Fraserburgh went top on goal difference after a stunning 7-0 win away at Inverurie Locos.

Broch were 3-0 up after 12 minutes through a Ryan Sargent penalty and goals by Scott Barbour and Sean Butcher.

Butcher added his fifth goal of the season and a Calum Dingwall own goal made it 5-0 at the break.

Connor Wood netted two late goals to complete an easy day for the Buchan side.

Three Forres Mechanics goals in the final half hour settled the Highland League Moray derby at Lossiemouth.

Formartine netted four without reply at home to Strathspey Thistle.

Julian Wade got he first before half time and defender Kieran Adams made it 2-0. First goals for the club for Adam Emslie and Jake Stewart sealed victory for the Pitmedden side.

Keith led Clach through a Mikey Ironside goal but Harry Hennem's second strike of the season earned a draw for the Inverness men.
