BUCKIE Ladies got back to winning ways with a comprehensive 5-0 demolition of Ross and Cromarty.
The league and cup champions looked more like themselves, going into half-time with a convincing 3-0 lead before finishing the game off after the restart.
Doing the damage at Gordon Park, Portgordon, were a brace from striker Alena Gardiner along with strikes from Alicia Paterson, Michaela Munro and Skye Milne.
Set pieces proved key for the hosts, with three of the goals coming from corners.
Buckie Ladies manager Laura Duncan said: "We were far better than we were against Sutherland, we were a bit rusty in that game.
"Against Ross and Cromarty we had a lot of good passing movement, we were lot more fluid. We pretty much dominated both halves and were worth the 5-0 win. Ross and Cromarty only had 11 players with them, unfortunately, although that said our squad was pretty bare bones, too."
Making her debut for the team on Sunday was centre back Vicky Helyer.
Duncan added: "Vicky has played for other teams and had a good game for us.
"Hopefully we can get her to sign for us permanently."
There was good news on the injury front for Duncan, with long-term absentee Emily McAuslan back in training and looking good for a return to first team action soon.
Buckie Ladies have a free week this coming Sunday before heading north on April 7 to face Orkney in the tie postponed from March 17. The venue has yet to be confirmed, but is likely to be either Wick or Thurso.
The following weekend sees Buckie begin the defence of their League Cup crown away to Sutherland. A new format is in place for this year's tournament, with teams divided into two groups, the teams playing each other once. In addition to Sutherland, Buckie's group comprises Ross and Cromarty and Nairn.
