Buckie Thistle found Dundee's development team too clinical to handle at Forfar's Station Park, going down to a 4-0 defeat.

Jags had numerous chances while the home side found Buckie's defence in charitable mood.

Dundee striker Rayan Mohammed, signed from Alloa Athletic where he played first team football at the age of 17, netted the early opener.

Further goals by Jack Wilkie and Euan Mutale had the Taysiders well in control at the break, with Max Anderson sealing a second round tie against East Fife with the fourth.

Formartine United made the trip to the capital to take on Hibernian's B team, and took the lead through a Dan Park free kick shortly before half time.

However, Hibs levelled in first half stoppages through Josh Landers and with neither side able to find a second half winner, the tie went to penalties.

Graeme Rodger and Paul Campbell both missed for Formartine and Hibs won the shoot-out 4-2 at Meadowbank.

Brora Rangers looked on course to defeat Aberdeen's colt side at Dudgeon Park when they led through a Jordan MacRae strike going into the closing minutes.

However, the Dons' hot striking prospect Alfie Bavidge levelled on 83 minutes to force the shoot-out.

Andy Macrae and Mark Nicolson missed Brora's first two kicks while Aberdeen recovered from missing their first to net four and progress to the next round.

Brechin City are now the Highland League's only surviving team in the competition after their penalty shoot-out victory over Hearts B on Tuesday.

Elgin City defeated St Johnstone B 2-0 to earn a home tie against Forfar.
