Drainage channels had to be dug to allow water to flow off the Boyndie circuit and allow the Saturday and Sunday races to get going.

Saturday afternoon saw the prokart events take place. The feature trophy for the weekend was the GKC Team Trophy, where all drivers were balloted into teams of four.

In the Prokart (light) race, Elgin's Daniel Macrae was never troubled as he took a lights to flag victory by a margin of 23 seconds.

Turriff's Elliot Smith took up the chase along with Inverurie's Josh Stewart, who endured a spin to drop down the order.

Smith inherited second which he held to the finish. Stewart began his fightback and by lap six he was in third where he finished. Fourth was Mark Brownie followed by Callum Patience and Miller Grant.

Two Banffshire drivers gave chase in the Micro Max race won by Kelty's Frazer Anderson.

Banff's Sophie Ingram sat in second place with Anderson eventually pulling away and opening a big gap on his way to victory. Whitehills' Cooper Earsman kept up the pace until he retired on the second lap.

Cornhill's Jonathan Edwards was the pole man in the Senior Max 162/177kg race and led away, followed by Owen Cruickshank (Peterhead) and Peter Kerr.

Cruickshank kept Edwards honest throughout the final being a second apart at the finish line. Edwards took the victory. Kerr, in the 177 class was third on the road.

Huntly' Leo Massie put up a strong performance in the Junior Max race to land a podium position.

Pole Alex Hawcutt (Portlethen) took the lead and was never headed to the chequered flag. Hard charging Aiden MacDonald from Fyvie was within a second at the flag for second.

Massie had a steady run for third. Duncan Ingram had started down the field due to a non-finish in the heats move up to fourth. Ingram clipped the kerb hard throwing him onto the grass which he brought under control but lost his chance of catching third. Fifth home was Bella Brown followed by John James Buchan and Finlay Smith

In the Prokart (Heavy), Ellon's Michael Rose had the best start from the outside of the front from Perth rival Mark Geraghty.

Lap four saw Geraghty take the lead and went on to take the chequered flag. Rose was second by a second and Liam Small from Cupar slotted into third on lap two until the finish.

Oleg Kazakov and Peter James each gained a place on the last lap with Kazakov taking fourth and James fifth. The top eight was completed with Dean Simons, Martin Stephens and Scot Bruce.

Charging up Boyndie Strait when the start lights went out saw Westhill driver Vinnie Lewis lead the pack in the Honda Cadets. Thomas Jackson, Lewis Stewart, Archie Cannon and Darren Bain took up the chase.

A puncture ruined Jackson’s chances as he dropped down the order but he soldiered on. Lewis, Stewart, Cannon and Bain had broken away. Bain had a spin at Seafield which dropped him back into the pack.

Stewart, from Dingwall, closed down Lewis, who won by a margin of a tenth of a second from Stewart with Cannon third, three seconds back.

Bain recovered by passing William Alexander, Ian Campbell and Theo Ingram to take fourth. Ingram was fifth followed by Campbell, Alexander and Jackson.

Bambino racer Louis MacDonald, from Fyvie, in his last race in the class, took a comfortable victory over Jack Elder.

Trophies were presented by club chair person, Dorothy Wyness in the clubhouse.
