Their record this year was played 24, won 18, drawn one, lost 5 and finished with 37 points with +186 shots. They were six points ahead of the Jim Morrison pool.

Jim Low was pipped for second spot by losing his final game to the Norman Hepburn rink 8-12 on Monday. Jim Morrison beat Bill Ross on the final day.

A look through the 24 fixtures Bill Conn had five losses.

Of that number, Jim Morrison defeated the Conn rink three times out of four. He won 11-9 (December 10), 10-9 (February 5) and 12-9 (March 25). Jim must be regretting some defeats against lesser opposition.

The other losses were against Jim Low 5-12 and Bill Ross 11-13. Conn’s draw was against Norman Hepburn 10-10.

Can a team beat the champions in 2024/25?
