DEVERONVALE have completed two new signings and secured the signature of an experienced midfielder as the build up to the new Highland League continues.

‘Vale added Elgin City youngsters Cameron Angus, a forward, and Charlie Hay, a midfielder, to the squad – with both signing two-year deals.

Angus (20) and Hay (18) are both returning to Princess Royal Park after spells on loan with the club last season.

Buckie-based Hay left ‘Vale to attend college in Inverness, playing with Clachnacuddin for the second half of last season, while Angus made a few appearances towards the end of the season.

Manager Craig Stewart said: “Cameron is a good addition to the squad and gives us another forward option.

“He showed enough last season for us to see he has the potential and positive attitude that we are looking to develop.

“I’m very pleased to have Charlie back. Although he didn’t have a lot of match time last season, he showed enough skill and work rate to convince us he would develop into a Highland League regular.

“He’s a versatile player and a good addition to the squad.”

Robbie Allan (36) has also signed for another year.

Craig Stewart said: “This is excellent news for the club. His experience is invaluable to the team and to our young players.

"Robbie has shown up well again in pre-season, maintains a high level of fitness and continues to demonstrate a professional commitment to the game”.
