Banks and Foster lose out to fellow Scots Anderson and Burnett in World Indoor Bowling Pairs final

Jason Banks with Paul Foster lost to fellow Scots, Stewart Anderson and Darren Burnett Score 5-8 and 5-11 writes Mike Barron.
The first set was close as at 8th end the score was 5-5.
The 9th was the turning point.
Being three shots down Darren Burnett with his final bowl took the jack through and scored 1.
Score 5-6. Jason and Paul had a poor 10th end, and were lucky just to lose 1.
The 11th and final end had Anderson and Burnett lying four shots.
With a fast running bowl Paul took the jack to the ditch and was scoring four shots, if the displaced opposition bowl had gone to ditch.
It did not and the set was lost 5-8.
Set 2 had Jason and Pual 0-5 after three ends. They then took the next three ends 1,2 and I shots to be 4-5.
Jason drew two beautiful bowls to jack, and Stewart was instructed to fire. The jack was in the ditch along with that bowl.
The skips drew and it was a measure for shot. Score now 4-6.
The 8th was another measure and Jason/Paul this time got shot. Score 5-6.
Jason was not drawing as well today, and he had no luck when drawing as he pushed the opposition in to 6ins.
Paul did not change the head and Darren drew for a second shot. Score 5-8.
The 10th was a last chance to reduce the lead. It did not work out, as being two shots down, Paul fired, and took out their own bowl.
Darren drew a 3rd shot and Paul just missed with his last bowl. Score 5-11.
The score did not reflect the ups and downs of the set.
