Deveronvale Football Club part company with assistant manager Ritchie Davidson over "football incident" at Highland League outfit

Deveronvale have announced the departure of assistant manager Ritchie Davidson after he was involved in a "football incident".

Davidson was appointed as manager Craig Stewart's number two last March.

The pair worked together as coaches at Formartine United before Stewart took Davidson to Vale following the departure of his previous assistant Craig Park.

A club statement on Wednesday read: "Deveronvale FC regrettably can confirm that, following a football incident, we as a club have mutually agreed with our Assistant Manager, Richard Davidson, to release him from his contract with immediate effect."
