ABERDEEN legend Joe Harper will feature as a guest speaker after a Moray charity football match this weekend.

The match will feature former Islavale and Dufftown players.

Former Islavale and Dufftown players will take to the pitch to raise money for Cash for Kids at Simpson Park in Keith tomorrow (September 23).

The day will also feature activities for kids and families including a bouncy castle, kick darts. face painting and a range of food vans.

The event is open to anyone and there are no admission fees although donations to the charity are welcome.

Stuart Lamberton, who has been busy organising the event alongside his wife Charlotte, said: "It has been all systems go and my wife Charlotte has been doing a power of work supporting the planning and arrangements for the day.

"It has been overwhelming how much this has grown from just a football match into a whole fun day and evening fundraising events too.

"The support received so far from local businesses and those taking part has been nothing short of magnificent.

"It’s definitely scary and the biggest undertaking in terms of fundraising we have been involved in for charity but hopefully everyone involved and those who are able to come along and support on the day and the evening can help raise a lot of money."

Following the match, an evening event will take place at the Ugie Hotel at 6.30pm where Joe Harper, Aberdeen's record goalscorer, will feature as a guest speaker.

That will be followed by a charity auction featuring signed items, golf outings, rare whisky and football tickets among other prizes.

Simpson Park will open at 1pm and the match will kick off at 2pm.
