Aberdeenshire Council’s Instrumental Music Service will be holding its first live concerts in two years.

The Instrumental Music Service Music Centre Senior and Junior Groups will be performing on Saturday, March 26.

The groups from North Central and South Aberdeenshire will combine to produce this long-awaited live concert.

Aberdeenshire Council’s Director of Education and Children’s Services Laurence Findlay said: “We in Aberdeenshire have been very lucky in possessing some very talented and musical pupils over the years.

"During the Covid-19 pandemic pupils and staff combined tremendously to perform virtually for the first time.

"Now that restrictions are lifting, it is great to see pupils display their musical abilities in person.

"Those attending will be in for a real treat.”

Aberdeenshire Council’s Instrumental Music Service Manager, Justin Brook, said: "This incredible body of work has been produced by dedicated instructors and pupils that have developed an impressive toolkit of digital skills over the last two years that have been utilised to facilitate some of the group sessions as well as face-to-face rehearsals during this term.

"IMS Instructors, Staff and pupils are thoroughly looking forward to these important, live performances in front of an audience in person.”
