WORKERS are being urged to pull on their trainers for the new Moray Winter Walking Challenge.

Health and Social Care Moray's (HSCM) first eight-week walkplaces event will step out on January 11 in the new year.

Prizes from Outfit Moray and Slater Sports are up for grabs in the free-to-enter programme, which Claire Buchanan, health walk co-ordinator at HSCM, hopes will get worker teams moving, connecting and enjoying some healthy competition with other local businesses and organisations.

Teams of five will keep a tab of their steps through the eight weeks, share their progress via a challenge website and complete mini-challenges along the way.

Teams are asked to sign up before January 4.

The Moray Winter Walking Challenge will begin on January 11 in the new year.

All Moray workplaces are invited to take part.
