The Garioch Sports Centre is set to add a further extension in the shape of a new Wellness Hub.

Plans for a small two storey extension have been accepted by planners to change an area next to the changing rooms into a Wellness Hub.

CEO of the Garioch Sports Centre, Kevin Bonarius said; "Our Wellness Hub is a side project to our large three phase ambitions.

"We are looking to re-develop an existing space within the facility by extending it to close to three times its current size.

"The project is focused on community and wellness and our vision is a welcoming mutli-use space that can be used by our members along with community groups and clubs.

"This will be a fun, safe, inclusive environment that can be enjoyed by all ages and abilities.

"We are once again looking to enhance and add to our community facilities here at Garioch Sports servicing our ever growing increased demand on our facilities."

Work is expected to start on the project next year after current works are completed.
