The local nursery, which moved to Greenmyres 18 months ago, will move back into Huntly at the start of August after the expiration of their lease with Huntly Development Trust.

The nursery will move into Unit 2 of the old Kiddie Winkles building located in Huntly Business Centre.

Vicky Keith, Wee Toots nursery, said: "We haven't moved yet but we've emptied our storage at Greenmyres so we should get into the building in early August.

"It will be different. We won't have as big an outdoor space as what we had at Greenmyres but there will be a few benefits as well.

"It will be easier for those parents who don't drive. Four miles isn't much but being more central definitely has its benefits."

Wee Toots used to operate four days a week from Tuesday to Friday but after moving that could become five with the addition of a Monday morning toddler class.

Vicky added: "We'll now be able to cover an extra toddler group on a Monday where we couldn't before.

"I put a poll up to see if people would be interested in that and it seemed pretty popular.

"We'd like to give a great big thank you to Huntly Development Trust because they took us in when we had nothing else and we were really grateful for that opportunity."
