As the story has unfolded over the recent weeks the ship has headed north west from Honduras, carried by currents towards the coastline of Belize where thanks to the intervention of locals including Andrew Milner and Cindy Vigna from Belize Sailing Center, their daughter Oceane their friends Lara Goldman and Al Domisseck and Laurie Norton along with Captain Elito from Seaduced the toy ship was found before making landfall at Ambergris Caye on Friday.

At present the A2 is on dry land as repairs and updates are made to the hull and work is carried out with the help of sailing and oceanographic experts to help with a modification which will be required to keep the ship from being carried off course as it needs to miss the Banco Chinchorro atoll reef to successfully get sucked up into the Gulf Stream.
