WATCH: Turriff Group SWI bulb show returns

Across the north-east SWI bulb show season is well underway with participants showcasing their wide range of talents.

The members of Barthol Chapel, King Edward, Fintry, Monquhitter Fyvie, Crudie SWI groups came together in Turriff on Saturday at the Baden Powell Centre for a welcome return of their annual gathering which has been on a hiatus since 2020.

Covering a wide range of crafting, baking and floral subjects there were an impressive display across the categories, which were judged by fellow members from Inverurie.

Winners this year included -

Institute with most points in bulbs and floral art section - (equal) King Edward and Monquhitter.

Institute with most points in cookery - King Edward.

Institute with most points in industrial - Barthol Chapel.

Institute with most points in bulb, industrial and cookery - King Edward.

Inter-institute competition - Monquhitter.

Member with most points in open, cookery, industrial, floral art and bulbs - Rosie Duncan (King Edward).

Best exhibit in cookery - Anne Rendall (Fintry).

Best exhibit in bulbs - Lorna Rennie (Monquhitter).

Best exhibit in industrial - Claire Totton (Monquhitter).

Best exhibit in floral art - Jan Nicol (Fyvie).

Best exhibit in knitting - Linda Thom (King Edward).

Member with most points in cookery - Dianne Smith (King Edward)

Member with most points in industrial - Kerry Keys (Barthol Chapel).

Member with most points in bulbs - Katherine Sim (Crudie).

Member with most points in floral art - (equal) Dianne Smith (King Edward) and Lorna Milne (Fintry).

Most points in childrens section - Grace Kingsley (Age four -Fintry).
