Banff Castle celebrated the new year with a spectacular projector light and music show.

On Hogmanay evening, the historic community venue had a range of impressive imagery projected onto it accompanied by various songs as a prelude to the bells at midnight.

This included a number of local landmarks and landscapes such as Duff House, Bridge of Alvah, Tarlair and Banff Links.

There were also party tunes accompanied by striking images which lit up the night.

The event included a performance by Banff Castle Pipe Band and a colourful fireworks display rounded off the evening.
