MORAY health workers involved in the Covid-19 vaccination effort feature in a feel-good dance craze video released this week.
Staff from Elgin's Fiona Elcock Vaccination Centre along with teams of healthcare workers from around Moray performed the moves to the upbeat song Jerusalema for the 2021 Virtual Kiltwalk – raising money for local life-saving charity Keiran's Legacy.
In the video, teams from around the region dance at various Moray locations, with aerial shots of landmarks, including in Forres, Craigellachie and Cullen.
Jerusalema, by South African house musician Master KG featuring Nomcebo Zikode, emerged in Angola and has swept around the world during the pandemic.
Keiran's Legacy was founded by the parents of Elgin Academy pupil and keen cyclist Keiran McKandie, who died in 2016, aged 16, after a car accident. The charity works to educate and provide hands-on training on how to save lives, as well as distribute defibrillators.
Former nurse Sandra McKandie, Keiran's mum, led the dance effort. She said the song was about hope, saving lives, and represented everything closest to Keiran's heart – music, dance and outdoor exercise.
So far, the Keiran's Legacy Loons and Quines Team has raised more than £8800. Money raised for charities through this year's Virtual Kiltwalk will be topped up by 50 per cent by philanthropist Sir Tom Hunter's Hunter Foundation.
There is still time to donate. To do so visit the team's Kiltwalk page, Keirans Legacy Loons and Quines Team, or the Keirans Legacy Kiltwalk page.
