Warning over A90 speeding

Police Scotland is warning drivers to watch their speed after two drivers were caught travelling at over 100mph on the A90 near Stonehaven today.

Both drivers were detected between 10am and 11am.

The first driver was a 17-year-old male, who had passed his test less than a month earlier was caught doing 111mph and the second was a 25-year-old woman who was accompanied by her two children, aged one and three caught at 104mph.

Both will be reported to the Procurator Fiscal in relation to the offences.

Road Policing Sergeant Steve Manson said : “We are at the start of what has been described as one of the hottest weekends of the year and our patrols are out to ensure everyone drives safely and they are able to enjoy the sunshine.”
