Visit Aberdeenshire reveal top Instagram posts of 2020

North-east tourism organisation Visit Aberdeenshire have revealed their 20 most popular Instagram posts last year.

In a year where people couldn't travel very far, people took advantage of their picturesque surroundings with Visit Aberdeenshire sharing some of their favourite shots on their own social media channels throughout the year.

The top 20 pictures feature a variety of seasonal scenes, nature and architecture from across Aberdeenshire and Aberdeen.

Amongst the hotspots gaining recognition were Inverurie and Pennan with Fyvie Castle clinching the top spot.

The list also features beautiful images of the aurora borealis, a stag and heilan coos.
