A daffodil Easter tea organised by FROM Scotland in Monymusk Village Hall on Saturday raised money to help relieve famine in Malawi.

The charity, Famine Relief for Orphans in Malawi, helps fund Open Arms Infant Home among many other projects.

These include providing bore holes for clean water, bicycle ambulances, building medical clinics, school classrooms, maternity units and feeding stations to name just a few.

FROM Scotland supplies food for 3000 orphans and vulnerable children every month.

Malawi's plight was severely aggravated earlier this year by a devastating cyclone.

FROM Scotland trustee Lewis Taylor said that the Monymusk event raised more than £1000 for the cause.
