Views sought on alcohol licensing in Aberdeenshire

Aberdeenshire Licensing Board is reviewing its Statement of Licensing Policy and is looking to engage with as many people and organisations as possible to gather views.

Much has changed in the last few years and the board outlined that it is important that people have their say on issues like availability of alcohol in their communities.

A licensing board spokesman said: "Key elements that we are focusing on include the opening hours for licensed premises in the area as well as whether there is overprovision of alcohol outlets in Aberdeenshire.

"We also look at occasional licensing, end of aisle displays and conditions that licensed premises need to comply with."

A survey has been launched which people can complete on its website.

The spokesman added: "This survey is open to both individuals and organisations until the start of September.

"If you are responding on behalf of an organisation such as a community council, please complete for the average person in your community council, as well as sharing with your communities.

"We really appreciate you giving your time to respond to this survey and we will consider all responses fully."
