The Coastguard rescued two people who had become stranded on the cliffs near Findlater Castle at the weekend.

Then, immediately afterwards, they were called to another job at Logie Head near Cullen, where a climber had fallen.

Crews from Buckie, Burghead, Macduff and Portsoy received the first call-out just after noon on Sunday.

A Coastguard spokesperson said: "Rescue Officers found the casualties after hearing their shouts for help.

"They were assisted in pinpointing the location by the Macduff and Buckie lifeboats.

"The casualties were safely recovered to the bottom of the cliff by Coastguard rope rescue technicians."

As the teams were packing up from the first incident they then received an urgent call regarding the climber.

The spokesperson continued: "Coastguard teams located the casualty and provided care along with crew from the Macduff RNLI lifeboat.

"The casualty was then recovered to hospital by the Coastguard Rescue helicopter from Stornoway."
