Two convicted after death of Scott Hector in Aberdeen

Two men have been convicted in connection with the death of Scott Hector in Aberdeen in April of 2021.

Police Scotland today welcomed convictions at the High Court in Edinburgh for the murder of Scott at an address in Marischal Court, Aberdeen, on April 2, 2021.

Sean O’Halloran pleaded guilty to murder.

Sean O’Halloran (20) pled guilty to murder and Connor Adams (18) pled guilty to Culpable Homicide.

Both are due to be sentenced at Edinburgh on December 15.

Detective Chief Inspector Graham Smith, of Police Scotland’s Major Investigation Team, said: “Our thoughts are with Scott’s family and friends as they continue to come to terms with his tragic and needless loss.

"The family of Scott wish to thanks those who have supported them through this incredibly difficult time and have requested privacy. "

In April following Scott's death a series of arrests associated with the case were made in Kemnay.

The family of Scott issued the following statement through Police Scotland: “Scott was a dearly beloved son, a brother, grandson, nephew, cousin and a friend to many.

"We are all heartbroken by our loss and Scott will be sorely missed by all.

“Scott was an outgoing, happy person who enjoyed life to the full.

He had a love for football and enjoyed gaming on his PlayStation."
