Two charged over Peterhead County Lines drugs operation

Two men and one woman have been arrested and charged as a result of a County Lines drugs operation in Peterhead and Merseyside.

On Wednesday, November 2, Police Scotland Officers carried out a search of an address in Peterhead.

Drugs believed to be cocaine and diamorphine with an estimated street value of almost five thousands pounds were recovered.

A 37-year-old woman and a 39-year-old man were arrested and charged in connection with the recovery.

They appeared at Peterhead Sheriff Court on Thursday, November 3.

A further address was searched under warrant in Merseyside, where a 27-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection with drugs offences.

He also appeared at court on Thursday, November 3.

Detective Sergeant Steven Young, of North East Division CID, said “I would like to thank our colleagues at Merseyside Police with their assistance in this investigation.

“We remain committed to disrupting those involved in operating and benefiting from the supply of illegal drugs in the North East of Scotland.

“We rely on information from the public. If anyone has any concerns regarding the abuse of controlled drugs or those who may be involved in the supply of controlled drugs, contact Police on 101. Alternatively Crimestoppers can be contacted on 0800 555 111, where anonymity can be maintained.”
