Members of the Turra Yarnbomb Brigade have been working together to create a plethora of knitted and crocheted items which are set to transform the town centre when it hosts its Jubilee Party on Sunday, June 5.

Working from home, the group's members have been busy in the past few months, regularly meeting at the Baden Powell Centre for a social session to bring together their items.

As organiser Judith Beaton explained: "We have been creating a whole host of items from knitted bunting, through to bollard covers, decorations, wreaths, postbox toppers, wraps for the crossing beacons and so on.

"We are going to decorate the main streets in Turriff where the events are taking place and this is thanks to more than 70 local businesses which have supported us to ensure that we could purchase materials.

"It's going to take us quite a while to get it all in place because there is so much of it and the school has also been involved as well as all the locals that attend the crafty Wednesday session at the Royal Oak and lot and lots of individuals as well."
