Trishaws come to Inveurie

Cycling Without Age Scotland - Inverurie launched on Sunday as the two new trishaws were put through their paces.

Hosted at the Dreamy Goat Coffee Co on North Street, the roadside location enabled lots of visitors to drop by to see the new equipment in action.

Through generous community and business support along with extensive fundraising, the team of volunteers now have two of the three wheeled units along with an e-bike.

Cycling Without Age Scotland - Inverurie group's lead and spokesman Graham Watson thanked an extensive list of people who had been involved in bringing the project forward and supporting the efforts to get the group up and running which has been turned around in just six months.

Along with volunteers from the nearby group in Oldmeldrum. guests included Radio Scotland presenter Rachel Stewart who recently featured the groups efforts on Out of Doors and head of Cycling Without Age Scotland, Christien Bell who travelled up from Larbert to see the group launch.

Booking can now be taken for the trishaws for potential users - these can be made through Graham Watson on 07999 213599, Alex McCann 07824357824 and Bernadette McCann 07879 496420.

Fundraising is now underway to bring trishaws to Westhill.
