Town bus service set to resume in Ellon

Following the successful reintroduction of bus services in rural areas including around Turriff and Huntly on Monday, November 16 three more services will resume.

The Ellon Town Service will operate Monday to Friday between 9.30am and 2.30pm with a break between 12.30pm and 1.15pm.

Ellon – Methlick single journey will resume on Thursdays only at 1.30pm, for shoppers travelling home from Ellon, to complement Stagecoach journeys.

The Banchory A2B dial-a-bus service will also come back into service.

The services are being modified to allow time for extra cleaning and seating is reduced so that passengers can distance.

Customers wishing to travel must book no later than the day before travel.

The following safety measures are in place on all resumed services -

• Customers using the A2B dial-a-bus services must wear a face covering unless exempt

• 1m+ distancing will be enforced on the vehicle apart from people from the same household

• Enhanced vehicle cleaning will be undertaken during the day

• Drivers will wear PPE if helping passengers

Copies of the new A2B dial-a-bus leaflets and Passenger Guide are being sent to regular customers.

The Central Buchan A2B dial-a-bus service operated by Kininmonth Cabs is also open to the public.
