Top American folk pair to finish tour in Gartly

LEADING US folk duo Mike and Ruthy's upcoming Gartly date will be the pinnacle of their UK tour.

The pair, made up of Mike Merenda and Ruth Ungar, have recently received airtime on BBC Radio 2 and BBC Radio Scotland and featured in music magazines.

Mike and Ruthy will be playing Gartly Community Hall on Friday, April 14 as part of the Tin Hut Sessions.

Touring in support of new single Families, the husband and wife describe themselves as "a harmony duo with a celebrated catalog of original songs".

The pair also front notable folk outfit The Mammals.

Tickets are £12, £5 for under 12s, and can be purchased cash-only at Orbs Bookshop, Huntly.
