Glenisla Care Home in Keith welcomes therapy ponies

RESIDENTS of a care home in Moray were delighted to welcome a pair of furry friends for a visit.

Shetland Ponies Flicker and Wilson visited Glenisla Care Home as part of a nationwide equine therapy tour by Therapy Ponies Scotland.

The duo captured the hearts of everyone, from residents to staff, with their relaxed and comforting presence.

Equine therapy has proven to be a powerful tool in promoting well-being, reducing stress, and encouraging social interaction.

Brenda Harper, Glenisla Care Home manager, said: “Our residents were thrilled to meet Flicker and Wilson and we couldn't be more grateful to Therapy Ponies Scotland for bringing these wonderful ponies to visit us.

"It was a joy to see the reaction on residents’ faces when they trotted in. They were over the moon and everyone wanted to pat and cuddle them."
