The Vinery in Banff is getting set to hold events to mark Challenge Poverty Week.

The aim of the sessions, which will be held from Monday, October 3 to Friday, October 7, will be to provide advice and support to people.

The week's special guest will be Banffshire and Buchan Coast MSP Karen Adam, who will be holding a drop-in surgery on the Friday at the community venue run by Aberdeen Foyer.

Project lead Clare Bancroft said: "We are holding events for Challenge Poverty Week.

"There will be lots of hints, tips and advice available throughout the week.

"The Friday session sees a special guest – MSP Karen Adam MSP – who will be holding a drop-in surgery to provide information and advice on all of the hard work that is happening within government to tackle the cost of living crisis."
