The Huntly E3 business support hub which opened in February had a visit from Aberdeenshire West MSP, Alexander Burnett recently.

The Scottish Parliament’s Shadow Minister for Business, Innovation and Energy spent time seeing the new facilities, discussing the local economy and hearing from the local E3 team about how they are supporting businesses and individuals in Huntly and across Aberdeenshire.

Alexander Burnett said “I had an excellent meeting with the E3 team about the work they are doing to help local businesses across Aberdeenshire.

’I encourage anyone with a business or a business idea to drop by their offices in Huntly or Aboyne or contact them to take advantage of the excellent services and programmes they offer.

"I even got to see their mobile office electric van, which means they can come out to the countryside and visit you for meetings.”

Open every week for in-person and online appointments, the E3 hub in the Business Centre in Gordon Street provides free training and support for new and existing businesses.

The E3 project (Elevator Entrepreneurial Ecosystem) is funded by the UK Government through the UK Community Renewal Fund.

The aim is to support people and communities across the UK with pilot programmes and new approaches to prepare for the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.

It invests in skills, community and place, local business, and supporting people into employment. Supported by Aberdeenshire Council, E3 is free to use for existing local firms as well as anyone setting up a business and encourages people into employment and self-employment.
