Joy filled the voices of the Spectrum Singers in Kemnay Church Centre on Sunday afternoon as they happily reconvened after a two year Covid-enforced absence.
A month ago the group welcomed their new musical director Faith Ockwell, along with her canine companion Teddy.
Originally from Seattle, Faith is studying for her Masters degree in musicology and composition at the University Of Aberdeen.
She first visited Scotland as a tourist a few years ago, and said: "I decided then that I wanted to come back to stay".
The good news just keeps rolling in for the group, who were also able to secure funding for rehearsal premises.
Chairperson Naida Sneddon said: "Earlier this year we were delighted to receive a grant administrated by Aberdeenshire Voluntary Action which will give us the hall rental for a year."
The grant comes from Aberdeenshire Communities Mental Health and Wellbeing fund.
The choir was formed in 2006 and currenlty has around 20 members however new members are welcome, with male voices especially welcomed.
Rehearsals take place every Sunday afternoon from 2pm with chat and fun as well as singing and a tea break.
Spectrum Singers happily tackle a wide range of musical genre, from classical to contemporary, with the most challenging exercise on Sunday being a number from Les Miserables.
