Thainstone online machinery auction sees excellent sales

Thainstone Specialist Auctions held its second online sale of the year of plant, equipment, machinery, and commercial vehicles recently.

The live online auction from the Thainstone Centre featured an entry of more than 400 lots and achieved an excellent sales rate of 83 per cent.

Head of Thainstone Specialist Auctions Mark Barrack said: “We’re delighted to see the strong start to 2021 and keen bidding continue with more than 400 bidders participating online and top prices achieved, reflecting buyers demand in the current market."

The top selling lots included a 2006 CAT 320c excavator which sold for £26,500 from the tractors, telehandlers and plant equipment section, followed by a 2009 Massey Ferguson 6480 four wheel drive Tractor also from this category, which sold for £18,500.

The small plant section saw a Toyota 02-6FDF30 diesel forklift achieve £3600 and a Marshall 28” 12t bale trailer sell for £4200 in the implement and machinery section.

Within the light commercials and 4x4 section a 2018 Renault Master LH35 business energy van reached £11,600 and the heavy commercials category saw a 2008 Scania P340 8x4 tipper sell for £10,000.

Finally the trailer and container category saw an Ifor Williams LM126 dropside trailer reach the price of £3000.
