SWI group welcome spring with annual bulb show

Cornhill SWI president Ann Bishop welcomed members to a Taste and Try evening and the annual bulb show.
There was a large selection of savoury treats, sweets/puddings and cakes/biscuits all with their recipes which were collated and a copy given to everyone.
Bill Copland was the judge of the bulbs and he gave handy hints on how to improve the plants growing and how to display them. He was with the group in October to offer advice when the members planted them.
The bulb show results were:
Bowl of daffodils - 1 M Hepburn, 2 F Webster and 3 A Pirie.
Bowl of tulips - 1 M Hepburn, 2 F Webster and 3 A Pirie.
Bowl of Hyacinths - 1 M Hepburn, 2 A Pirie.
Amaryllis - 1 M Chalmers.
The monthly competition results were:
Decorated Easter egg - 1 S Runcie, 2 F Webster and 3 M Chalmers.
Spring arrangement - 1 F Webster, 2 S Runcie and 3 A Bishop.
Flower of the month - 1 M Hepburn, 2 F Webster and 3 M King.
Ann Bishop thanked everyone for all their participation.
