A soup and sweet event in Turriff raised £530 for Cash For Kids this weekend.

Organised by Tesco staff, led by community champion Carol Allan, the fundraiser was held in Turriff Bowling Club and offered supporters a variety of home made soups and desserts.

To boost their fundraising efforts there was also a lucky squares and home bakes stall.

Cash for Kids supports children and young people affected by poverty, abuse, neglect, life-limiting illness and those who have additional needs in a variety of ways, including co-ordinating the annual Mission Christmas appeal which aims to ensure that no child wakes up without presents on Christmas day.

Staff at the supermarket previously organised a car boot sale to raise money for the charity.
