Wifi Scotland LLP has launched new consumer broadband packages as a local option for potential customers.

With the objective to provide internet solutions to rural communities and businesses, Wifi Scotland LLP is a registered supplier on the Scottish Broadband Voucher Scheme.

The team is working on projects to bring both Wireless Broadband and Fibre-Optic Broadband to new rural areas.

WiFi Scotland LLP saw its first customers go live in Moray in 2017 and now delivers its wireless broadband service to over 400 customers across the area.

At the beginning of 2021, the company began to explore options for running its own fibre broadband, and found an

opportunity to place themselves within the phone exchange in Elgin.

This now positions them to offer fibre-to-the-cabinet and fibre-to-the-premises consumer broadband packages locally, providing community members a local option where previously only large national brands could be considered.

The new packages will be launched on September 14, and the team is now in the planning phase to start building a

fibre-optic network of its own.

Rob Cowan, Network Manager for Wifi Scotland LLP, said: “We are delighted to offer new high-speed fibre broadband packages to the residents and businesses of Moray.

"By taking advantage of our local and industry knowledge we are uniquely placed to bring the fastest and most reliable broadband options to the area, utilising both Openreach's existing network of fibre and copper, and building our own fibre network.

"As a local business we look forward to providing support directly to our customers as and when they need it."

Information about each package is available on the website at
