There are two online forms for participants to fill in and register to take part, one is for children, young adults and families and the other for adult readers.

Staff at your local library will also be able to sign you up and you can pick up a collectors card from the library too for the event which runs through to August 26.

You can also download your card to enter Summer Reading for individuals, families and groups.

The interactive card makes it easy for you to mark off each circle as you read/listen to a book, attend an event or activity at your local library.

Once your card is full send a copy back to be entered into a prize draw and be in with a chance to win some fantastic prizes: summerreading@aberdeenshire.gov.uk

This year’s creative competition is for all ages!

Staff are asking for you to create a design for a poster and/or bookmark that reflects the diverse communities across Aberdeenshire.

Diversity is about what makes each of us unique and includes our backgrounds, personality, life experiences where we live and our beliefs, all of the things that make us who we are today.

“Aberdeenshire is a diverse community, what does living in a diverse community mean to you?”

For younger participants there is a Colouring in Activity

Let everyone know that you are taking part in Summer Reading 2023 and colour in your own 'I'm taking part' poster. Linking to the theme of diversity, make it as bold and as bright as you want to!

You can access eBooks and eAudiobooks by downloading the Libby App or accessing through the Digital Library.
