The north-east's only wheelchair Santa run was staged by Inverurie Events on Sunday.
The morning started with over 70 wee Santas all ready, steady and set to go! at Strathburn primary school.
Undeterred by dismal drizzle on their return the game youngsters were presented with their Santa run medallion by BID manager Derek Ritchie.
The wheelchair Santa run, Inverurie's first, was to set to have had four participants, but in the conditions, only one turned up, May Eltayeb.
She was loyally supported by her family from Sudan who are now happily settled in Inverurie and the cheering crowd for her pluck.
May's son and daughter Ahmed and Isla and their cousin Omar are pupils at Strathburn and had already won their medallions.
Adult runners headed to the town centre to take on their route, where around 30 competitors could be seen on the streets before collecting their medals on the High Street.
Wheelchair and other disability runners can still get in the festive spirit over in Aviemore on December 16 for an unforgettable festive morning as Disability Snowsport UK takes over the Aviemore Parkrun for a special inclusive event - the "Santa Run".
This event is open to everyone, whether running, wheeling or pushing a buggy, and is for seasoned athletes or those wanting to take their first try at a running event.
