ONE of Keith's most popular annual events is around the corner again.

Trisha Davidson's strawberry teas event, now in its 14th year, has raised more than £70,000 for Breast Cancer Now over the years.

More than £20,000 has been raised across the last two years alone and Trisha hopes to be able to donate another five-figure sum to charity this year.

"We raised around £12,000 last year and the year before so it would be good if we could get the same again, but I'm always grateful for anything," Trisha said.

"The way things are with money and bills for folk, they might not be able to donate the same amount.

"Considering the first year we raised £420 we have come really far and that's amazing. I'm always amazed by the generosity folk show."

The strawberry teas event itself – at cakes and coffee will be available – will take place in a marquee at Netherton Farm, near Keith, on July 8 and July 9 from 10am until 4pm both days.

However, there will be a chance for people to collect strawberry teas or – if they live in Keith or Newmill – to have them delivered to their home across the weekend of June 24 and 25.

Whether attending the event or receiving a delivery, there will be gluten free and kids options.

All funds – as usual – will support Breast Cancer Now and people in Scotland.

"The charity supports folk going through breast cancer and research into breast cancer," Trisha added. "The money we raise comes to Scotland so it's benefitting people locally."

To book a delivery or arrange a collection, phone Trisha on 07920 512501 or send a message through the Facebook page to place your strawberry tea orders.
