Driving conditions remain challenging with many north-east roads seeing trees down, with incidents as of 1pm on the A96 just north of Aberdeen closing the north-bound side due to a large tree on the road and several other trees blocking roads at Barra near Oldmeldrum, at Cuminestown and Daviot.

Flooding is also affecting many rural roads, with particular issues around Methlick, Sauchen and Fyvie as well as further south near Forfar and Brechin.

Some snow gates have also closed, including A93 at Braemar and at the Tayside side are being closed as well as the snow gate to Lecht.

Scotrail have also advised of the cancellation of a number of services to and from Aberdeen due to flooding on the line and travellers are advised to check the current service status.
