SSEN to hold more public engagement sessions for north-east power line plans

SSEN Transmission is to hold a third series of public engagement events to share potential alignments, responding to feedback received in February and March.
A second series of statutory pre-application consultation events will also be held on proposed new substation developments.
SSEN Transmission is again inviting members of the public to share their views on the next phase of development for four transmission infrastructure schemes across the north of Scotland.
The projects form part of a GB-wide programme of network reinforcements.
Views are being sought for several proposed onshore 400kV electricity transmission schemes which include a series of new 400kV overhead lines, overhead line upgrades and new 400kV substations and HVDC converter stations: including Beauly – Blackhillock – New Deer – Peterhead; Spittal – Loch Buidhe – Beauly; and Beauly – Denny.

Maud - Monday May 20, 3pm-7pm Maud Village Hall.
Cuminestown - Tuesday 21, 2pm-7pm, Cuminestown hall, (PAC Greens).
Longside - Wednesday 22, 2pm-7pm, Longside Parish Church (PAC Netherton)
New Deer - Thursday 23, 2pm-7pm, New Deer Hall, (PAC Greens).
Turriff - Monday 27, 3pm-7pm, Baden Powell Centre.
Cairnie - Tuesday 28, 2pm-7pm, Cairnie Memorial Hall (PAC Coachford)
Huntly - Wednesday 29, 2pm-7pm, Stewarts Hall (PAC Coachford)
Keith - Thursday 30, 2pm-7pm, Longmore Hall (PAC Coachford)
Inchberry - Thursday, June 6, Inchberry Hall.
