Following events across the north-east along the route of a new proposed transmission line which saw public meetings in locations including Peterhead, New Deer, Turriff, Inverness and Keith, SSEN has extended the time period for responses to be made to the plans for a third time.

SSEN recently completed consultations on the new substations required for the route, including a new one at New Deer.

The consultation was first extended to July 9 and then to July 23, but in response to community feedback, they have agreed to further extend the consultation period by an additional seven days.

The Route Options Consultation feedback period will now close on Friday, June 30 at 5pm.

All feedback received to date, including emails and letters, have been logged for review by the project team.
