WHILE the majority of us have been living summer in lockdown, squirrels in Kintessack have been living a life of luxury.
Forres man John Beats (60) has been staying at his daughter's house since lockdown began and has kept himself busy by creating imaginative feeding stations for the squirrels.
At the start of May, we published pictures of the squirrels feeding in tanks, trains and planes – and now our furry friends have some new places to feed.
John, who works part-time at Murdoch's Butchers, said it takes about a weekend to make each feeding station. All are designed by chopping up and shaping pallet boards.
He said: "The squirrels are quite nosey and were in each one within half an hour of me putting them up.
"They are there every single day. They come in the morning at about 6am, two young ones and their mother, probably come again through the day while I'm at work and then they are back at 6pm or 7pm.
"I put out different kinds of nuts and apples for them to eat."
All of the pictures were captured with a Nikon D4S camera.
