Last weekend, members of the team headed out for a sponsored run and cycle over three days in an effort to raise funds for two local care homes.

The team's Conner Shepherd said; "We are delighted to announce that we have raised an amazing £3235 from our recent 300 Miles in 3 Days fundraiser.

"The funds will be shared equally with our two chosen care facilities, Preston House and Badenscoth House.

"The club are truly humbled by the support we have received and would like to thank everyone who donated and sent us messages of encouragement.

"We have been overwhelmed by the support from the local community since we reformed the club in 2018 and this is another example of how local communities can come together and help others in times of need.

He added: "We would also like to give a special mention to our sponsors Flowline Specialists.

"The Oldmeldrum-based energy equipment manufacturer and service provider matched our fundraising target of £1500, in effect doubling the amount the club raised for two local care facilities.

CEO of Flowline Specialists, Ross Whittingham said: “As a local business and proud supporter of Fyvie FC since it was re-established, Flowline Specialists did not hesitate in deciding to double the £1500 target set by the club for the two local care facilities.

"The team put in a fantastic effort to cover the 300 miles over three days, this initiative is a clear demonstration of how the local community can all work together to support one another at a time like this.”

Mr Whittingham and Flowline have been great supporters of Fyvie FC, not only during this fundraising effort but also sponsoring new playing kits which the team hope to unveil in the near future.

Concluding Connor said: "Everyone at Fyvie FC we would like to say a huge thanks to Flowline Specialists, the residents of Fyvie, and to all our supporters."
