Weather update January 17: further snow disruption in Moray

SNOW continues to cause disruption across Moray today (January 17).
School disruption
The opening of several schools have been delayed due to difficult conditions and one will close early.
Glenlivet Primary School will close at 12pm today due to the forecast showing adverse weather later in the day.
Several primary schools across Moray were opened late to allow time to get to school safely.
That included Knockando, Tomintoul, Rothes, Aberlour, Cluny, Millbank and Lhanbryde.
Speyside High School and Forres Academy were also opened late with both schools cancelling several bus services.
For Forres Academy the following Kinell buses are confirmed as not operating today:
- 399B - Brodies Hill, Califer Hill area
- 933C - Darnaway, Dyke, Kintessack, Broom of Moy
- 933D - Rafford, Dallas
- 933J - Outer lying areas of Kinloss/Alves
And for Speyside High School and Aberlour Primary School the Edinvillie bus and Archiestown/Knockando buses will not run today.
Bus K at Keith Grammar School will not operate either.
Road closures
The B9007 - Forres - Ferness - Duthil Road is open but Highland Council have closed their section of the road between Fernes and Carrbrudge due to drifting snow.
Meanwhile, the A939 Road will remain closed again overnight between the snow gates from Tomintoul to Cock Bridge due to adverse winter conditions and drifting snow.
The road will be assessed again tomorow morning and this message will be updated accordingly.
