Instead of a traditional dinner and dance, the event is held as a formal hamper ball meaning that those attending brought a picnic to enjoy before dancing the night away, a change instigated back in 2020 to keep tickets costs down and ensure that the fundraising event could continue to be accessible for as many people as possible.

HHCOS rehearsals for 2024 start this Thursday evening, January 11 at 7.30pm in the Peat Yards at Haddo House.

This year they are kicking off with Purcell's Dido and Aeneas to get participants warmed up and excited about the Come and Sing event on the February 24 which is back by popular demand.

Members are then moving onto Orff's wonderful Carmina Burana which they are delighted to be performing at this year's Haddo Arts Festival.

If you haven’t sung with them before or if you would like to have a go at singing in a choir, come along on Thursday and email any queries please email Catriona at membership@hhcos.org.uk.

Music will be provided on the night.
