Smash and grab at Moray shop sparks police appeal

A KEITH shop had its window broken and goods stolen this morning.

Police asked the public to provide information, after the Keith Hardware store was broken into and robbed in the early hours of December 6.

They confirmed that glass in the Mid Street shop's door had been smashed, before items were taken from within.

A call was also made for anybody with CCTV footage of the incident to come forward.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "We are appealing for information in relation to a break-in at Keith Hardware Store, Mid Street, Keith.

"Between 5.30 and 6.30am on Wednesday 6 December 2023, glass in the door of the shop was smashed and property from within was removed.

"If you have any information in relation to this incident, or you have CCTV which may assist in our enquiry, you can: contact Police on 101 or using the "Contact Us" form on the Police Scotland website. Report anonymously through the independent charity Crimestoppers 0800 555 111, reference number: PS-20231206-0578."
