SEPA issues further flood alert for Moray and Aberdeenshire coastal areas

A Flood Alert has been issued for Aberdeenshire and Moray for coastal flooding.

There is a continuing risk of flooding of coastal roads and promenade areas on Wednesday due to high tides.

Rosehearty - Fraserburgh - A combination of high tides and prevailing weather conditions means that flooding from the sea is expected to affect low lying land, roads and properties along the Moray Firth from Rosehearty to Fraserburgh. Wave overtopping is expected.

Stonehaven - The highest risk of flooding impacts is around the time of high tide that is at 3.30pm on Wednesday 13.

Findhorn - Lossiemouth - Flooding in and around the low lying parts of Lossiemouth include, the Marina, Marina Quay, Seatown Road and Seatown. The harbour at Burghead could be affected by coastal flooding.

Flooding impacts are expected around the time of high tide at 2.45pm.

Spey Viaduct to Spey Bay - Low lying areas are at risk of flooding from the Spey Viaduct to Spey Bay. Low lying properties and roads in Kingston and Garmouth are also at risk, including the B9015 Kingston Road on Wednesday 13 at around 3pm.
