SEPA issues flood alert for Moray and Aberdeenshire coastal areas

A Flood Alert has been issued for Aberdeenshire, Moray and Aberdeen City for coastal flooding.

Up the east coast, due to a combination of high tides, waves and strong easterly winds, there is a continuing risk of flooding from waves and spray overtopping coastal roads and promenade areas..

The risk is highest around the times of the high tides between 1pm and 5pm on Monday.

In the Moray Firth, due to a combination of high tides, waves and strong easterly winds, there is a continuing risk of flooding from waves and spray overtopping.

The risk is highest around the times of the high tides between 11am and 3pm on Monday.
