The Scottish Whisky Festival comes to Aberdeen in September

The Scottish National Whisky Festival will head to Aberdeen in September as part of its recently announced 2023/24 schedule, which kicked off in Inverness last month with a packed out event at the city’s Eden Court.

Initially created to celebrate the historical relationship that exists between Whisky and Scottish music culture, this year’s festival series - which will visit Aberdeen Music Hall on Saturday, September 9 - offers festival goers an opportunity to take a deep dive into the modern world of spirits and live music with an exceptional line up of exhibitors from across the drinks industry spectrum.

Each festival edition is complimented by a specially-curated bill of live music and entertainment from celebrated Scottish performers, handpicked to reflect the energy and identity of each city.

Festival goers will also be able to enjoy an exciting range of guest spirits (including including rum, cognac, liqueurs and more); cocktails by industry-leading mixologists; brewery collaborations; food vendors and exclusive masterclasses, held as fringe events across each host city – ensuring there is truly something for everybody at Scottish National Whisky Festival.

And finally, no day would be complete without a visit to the on-site whisky shop for an exceptional selection of bottles to take home - including festival exclusive bottlings - courtesy of our expert partner retailers.

Gareth Croll, Festival co-ordinator: “Our whisky festivals are an embodiment of the whisky pioneers, personalities and groundbreaking artists who make them up in every city, so it is a delight to be heading on the road again in 2024.

"We've adopted a brand new look and feel for our events that I think will serve us well as we look to be growing internationally, and I look forward to bringing our unique vision to friends in every corner of Scotland - and shortly much further beyond, so keep your eyes peeled!"
